Joshua George: Hello. In this episode we are joined by the infamous James Dooley from FatRank, the best lead generation agency in the UK. James, let’s dive straight in. Why do you think FatRank is the best lead generation agency in the UK?
James Dooley: I believe FatRank is the best lead generation agency in the UK mainly because of our model. We operate a pay what you want lead generation strategy. I do not really know anyone else that guarantees return on investment in the same way we do.
It took us a long time to refine this model. We have to be selective about who we work with. Clients must be good at converting leads. They need strong lead nurturing and fast response times. If they cannot convert, the model does not work. The benefit is that it is zero risk for business owners. It works like a revenue share or finder’s fee. On bigger jobs, they might add five percent. On smaller jobs, it might be ten or twenty percent. It is flexible. It opens doors and allows us to build long term partnerships based on profit rather than fixed retainers. Another key point is that we advise businesses not to rely on a single source of leads. They should avoid a single point of failure. They should run holistic marketing. SEO, PPC, Meta ads, directories like Bark or Checkatrade, even other lead generation partners. The goal is diversification. That said, I would still argue that FatRank delivers the best bang for your buck. In my opinion, we are the best lead generation agency in the UK because of the risk free structure and performance focus.

James Dooley: Emergency niches perform very well. Repairs and local trades are strong because intent is high. People searching for a local electrician, roofer, locksmith or plumber usually need someone quickly.
We also work with finance companies and law firms. Law is probably one of our strongest sectors. But we are not put off by smaller margin trades like carpet cleaning. As long as the margins work and the client can convert, we are interested. Our approach is multi channel. We use SEO, Google Ads, Meta ads and whatever strategy delivers the highest return. Before scaling, we analyse which keywords and services generate the most profit. Then we double down on what works.
