Kasra Dash: If you are a business and you are trying to generate more airsource heat pump leads, more actual business, then this video is for you. Myself and James, we've dealt with a lot of companies up and down the UK that actually install airsource heat pumps, some of which were mainly relying on word of mouth marketing. Now, there's a proper marketing system in place that generates a daily flow of leads. In this video, we're going to break down exactly what's working for other airsource heat pump companies and what you can apply to your business. So, James, take it away.
James Dooley: Step number one I’d be looking to do to grow is a Google Business Profile. If you already have one, reach out to your existing clients to get as many five-star reviews as possible. Reviews help a Google Business Profile generate more leads. Also get citations, post to the profile and upload photos. That’s step one to generate more local leads.
Kasra Dash: Step number two, to bolster your Google Business Profile, is to create dedicated service pages for each individual service — SEO-optimised pages on your website. When you start doing that, it will help rank the SEO pages and increase the chance your Google Business Profile shows up for those keywords, which indirectly drives more phone calls.
James Dooley: If you’re looking for more local leads, another option is PPC lead generation — pay-per-click within Google or Bing targeting bottom-of-funnel keywords to generate enquiries. The difficult part is you must team up with a good PPC agency because there is click fraud and you need to build a negative keyword list so you don’t attract job applicants. PPC can work well, but in the wrong hands you can waste money.
Kasra Dash: After that you’ve also got meta ads — Facebook and Instagram. Somebody scrolling on Facebook might see your ad. You can use lead forms that keep users on the platform, which is easy but sometimes lower quality, or conversion ads that send people to your website to fill out a contact form. You can add questions to lead forms to improve lead quality.
James Dooley: Another way to grow local leads is organic social media — posting regularly on Facebook, X, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Reddit, Quora. If people have questions you can answer them. Organic social is a volume game: stick to a schedule, for example upload five videos a week to satisfy algorithms like YouTube’s.
Kasra Dash: What about using AI agents to automate scheduling and posting, like N8N, or teaming with an AI consultant?
James Dooley: You can set up AI agents to crop and auto-publish videos across platforms. I would also focus on AI search — people are starting to search on engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Grock. If your brand doesn't show up in those, you'll miss leads from those search channels.
Kasra Dash: If you're looking for more local business leads, team up with trades platforms — Checkatrade, Bark, Builder, TrustATrader, Rated People. Those platforms can generate local leads, but track your KPIs: cost per lead, cost per acquisition and ROI.
James Dooley: On lead generation companies versus trades platforms, do due diligence. Confirm the company has generated leads in your specific niche. Have a strategy call, share your budget and lead targets. Ask whether leads are exclusive or shared; many businesses' main pain point is shared leads that turn into a race to the bottom on price.
Kasra Dash: If anyone wants to generate more local leads, we recommend FatRank.com where we have a commission-based lead generation service — you pay a finder's fee only on converted jobs, nothing on the payer lead, and you only pay once you've completed the job and been paid.
James Dooley: On inbound versus outbound lead generation, I prefer inbound. The conversion rate from lead to paying customer is much higher for inbound — a stat we saw was around 16.1% converting for inbound versus 1.4% for outbound.
Kasra Dash: That’s a big difference — inbound converts ten to twelve times better. Outbound needs volume, more staff, and still carries costs for email sending, staff time and sales follow-up.
James Dooley: Real-time leads matter. Internally we saw realtime leads convert significantly higher — around 60–63% higher. Try to respond within a minute if possible; under a minute makes a big difference versus five minutes. If you can ring or email immediately to get more information, you improve conversion.
Kasra Dash: Not every company can respond under a minute, but Fat Rank reviews KPIs and operational readiness before partnering. If you want a consistent flow of high-quality leads, fill out the form at FatRank.com. The team will tell you if you’re the right fit and provide feedback on next steps. We hope these lead generation strategies help airsource heat pump businesses. If you want more leads, head to FatRank.com and fill in the form so we can start generating enquiries across the UK.
